Building Blue into Mainstream Investment Practices

Building Blue into Mainstream Investment Practices

October 01, 2015 @ 4:30 PM

Ceres invites you to Building Blue into Mainstream Investment Practices: An Investor Deep Dive on Water Risk & Opportunity Integration on Thursday, October 1st.

This Panel Discussion and Networking Session will focus on how global investors are integrating ESG and water analysis in their portfolio management and engagement processes.  It is hosted by Ceres as a side session at the CII Fall Conference on Thursday, October 1st.

As global water quantity and quality challenges grow, so too does the investor imperative to measure and manage water-related investment risks, impacts and opportunities. Many analysts and fund managers are either just beginning to integrate water metrics and research into the investment process or have not yet begun. Nevertheless, in light of increasing droughts and declining water quality in many regions of the world, some investors are proactively integrating more sophisticated water analysis into investment decisions.

This interactive panel session and networking event will showcase Ceres’ findings from a recent survey of water integration practices from 35 global asset owners and fund managers. Investor speakers will  also share some of their water integration practices, explore challenges to deeper integration and most importantly share their aspirations for the future.

Speakers Include:

  • Hugh Brown, Florida State Board of Administration
  • Daniel Wild, RobecoSAM
  • Stu Dalheim, Calvert Investments
  • Monika Freyman, Ceres (Moderator)

Refreshments and an Ice Cream Buffet to be provided.

RSVP online or to Siobhan Collins, Ceres Water Program (collins@ceres.org) by 9/28/15
